Guest Post Guidelines
Feels Like Home Blog is a leader in the mom blog community because our posts are educational, optimistic, inspiring. Readers trust us because our posts allow even those with limited domestic skills to successfully complete projects.
We do occasionally publish guest posts, but they must meet the following guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- All posts must contain a photo or two. The photo source must be included as a link with proper attribution, and the photo must be legal for me to republish.
- The post should be 300-800 words, broken into short paragraphs.
- Bullet points, numbered lists, and section headings are helpful.
- A 2-3 sentence bio should follow the post. Your bio may include 2 links of your choice.
- The post must relate closely to my existing content, specifically:
- Food, cooking, and kitchen tips
- The holidays (entertaining, meals, family celebrations, etc)
- Parenting & having fun as a family
- Improving your physical and emotional health
- Crafts and other projects
- Keeping your home running smoothly
- Frugality
- Stories about your life
- The post should not appear elsewhere online.
Editing
Please proofread your work. If I have to completely overhaul your post because of spelling mistakes or atrocious grammar, it’s unlikely I’ll publish it.
It is likely that I will do some light editing, however, so be prepared for that.
