2011 was not the best year of my life. Actually, it was, quite possible, the very worst, and I’m glad it’s behind me.

Because it was a year full of personal challenges, it was a year that saw a lot of lackluster blog content. For that, I apologize.

Despite that, I did write some good stuff, and some old stuff was perennially popular. These were the most popular posts on Feels Like Home in 2011:

This morning, I’ll be sharing my Sunday best with the congregation of our church. My family is lighting the first candle of Advent during the service today.

I have traveled all over the place over the last four weeks. Conferences, a business trip, and a church retreat took me away from home. Traveling left me harried, and it left my kids wired and needy.

I have been reminded that they need me a lot more than the world needs me. It’s a hard lesson.

I have forgotten to post Share Your Sunday Best a couple of times. It’s yet another sign of the stress.

I can’t believe it’s mid-October already. The air is cool in Pennsylvania, and the many trees have lost all of their leaves.

Who was it that said that days at home with babies last forever but years fly by? That is my experience since the summer. It’s amazing.
