Grace has a new Barbie, a Photo Fashion doll. From Mattel:
Combining photography and fashion, the Barbie Photo Fashion doll is a Barbie doll and a digital camera with a graphic tee twist. Featuring a built-in, 0.3 megapixel camera in her back and an LED backlit screen as her t-shirt, the Barbie Photo Fashion doll makes it easy for girls to point, click, shoot and edit their own photo-to-fashion statement.
The result, as you might imagine, is nothing short of mesmerizing. This Barbie is special; Grace keeps her on a high shelf where Allie can’t see let alone reach her sticky fingers.
Grace has orchestrated nearly 200 pictures in the last two weeks.
She’s been playing with Barbie’s frames and special features. Every single one of the pictures above is straight out of the camera.
Barbie’s 0.3 megapixel camera takes pictures that are 128×128 pixels, so not really good for printing, but super fine for displaying on her t-shirt in slide show mode or as a cool design.
This is my favorite Barbie photo, naturally.
Barbie Photo Fashion is compatible with both Mac and PC, so anyone can hook her pink USB cable up and get started. Barbie is powered by a rechargeable battery (charged through the same pink USB cable) and has 4 MB of internal memory, enough to store 200+ images.
Last weekend, we had a few people over for a special family dinner. Grace smothered everyone in attendance with her smooth photography skills.
Except, apparently she forgot to photograph her father. Sorry Joe.
You’ll be seeing a couple more Barbie photos next week.
I’m sure Grace will have taken another 200 photos between now and then.
