I Have Wrinkles

Remember when I shared Grace’s new family portraits?

Our Family Picture

I left something out of that story.

See the lines across my and Joe’s foreheads? You may notice that Grace and the new baby (tiny though she is) do not have those same lines.

They’re wrinkles.

Grace told me so.

I was shocked to hear that I have wrinkles.

I have splotches, red spots, bumps, and big pores, but I do not have wrinkles.

You should have seen the faces I made into the mirror that night, trying to recreate my wrinkles. I frowned. I scowled. I grinned. No wrinkles.

Then I made my mom face, the one where my eyebrows are raised in that “What did you just say to me?” face.

Bingo.

Wrinkles.

All across my forehead.

Grace must see that face a lot to draw me with wrinkles in her family portrait.

She’s 3. She needs to see that face a lot.

This is sponsored content from BlogHer and Olay.

When I first started using my Olay Total Effects moisturizer, I was using it only on my cheeks. Like most women, I have combination skin (are you totally impressed by my new found skin knowledge?). My forehead, nose, and chin get oily throughout the day, while my cheeks stay pretty dry.

My cheeks clearly needed moisturizing, so that’s where I used the lotion.

After seeing the benefits of the moisturizer (and learning that I have wrinkles), I decided to try it on my forehead.

Just to see.

Since I was using it at night, I figured it wouldn’t hurt anything. If my forehead became greasy over night, I could wash it (in the shower, with my body soap, of course), and everything would be fine.

I’m happy to report that my forehead did not get greasy. Like my cheeks, it is smoother and softer. It looks glowy, not greasy at all.

So now I use the moisturizer on my entire face. I still use it at night, before I go to bed.

Despite my pregnant crankiness, I’ve been told twice this week that I was glowing.

Sorry, Olay, but I didn’t tell them about the moisturizer.

What am I doing about my wrinkles? I’m enjoying them! I earned them and they are mine! I do use moisturizer and sunscreen.

At this point, I’m mostly trying to prevent getting wrinkles by avoiding sun exposure and wearing sunblock!

I’ve done absolutely nothing about my wrinkles. I’ve always had this huge deep wrinkle on my forehead(thanks dad) and it’s been really annoying me lately. Now that I’m 35, I probably should try doing something about it.

Well, I don’t know if it counts as a treatment for wrinkles, but my fat poofs them out so I don’t look as old as I am! LOL Seriously though, I really don’t mind aging and other than using sunscreen on occasion do not do anything.

Honestly, I don’t have any wrinkles. However, I will do whatever it takes to get rid of them.

I’m getting older and wrinkles and grey hair are all part of that. I’m perfectly content not doing anything about either of them!
