Most of the time, we eat an early dinner.

It could be any time between 4 pm and 5:30 pm, but we eat early and then play or read.

Around 7 pm, Grace starts getting ready for bed. She watches a half hour tv show (often Max & Ruby or The Wonder Pets), changes her clothes, and then goes upstairs with Joe. Together, they read a book (or four), talk to the Lord, and then she goes to sleep.

For a while, Grace would complain – after she’d gotten into bed – that she was hungry. She couldn’t possibly go to sleep without a snack.

Joe got really angry because he thought she was stalling the bedtime routine.

Maybe she was, but she was also hungry.

Joe instituted a new rule. If you’re hungry, you have to ask for a snack before we go to your bedroom.

And so it stands.

Unless there’s been something weird that’s caused us to eat late, Grace asks for a bedtime snack every single night.

She knows that there are a handful of choices for her snack.

  • A piece of fruit – apple, banana, or whatever we have
  • A bowl of oatmeal
  • Yogurt
  • Gogurt

Grace's bedtime snack

She loves Gogurt. She thinks she’s eating ice cream, even though she’s simply eating frozen yogurt.

Plus, Gogurt comes in all kinds of crazy, fun flavors, like cotton candy, watermelon, and berry blue blast. (I’m excited for her to try the Simply Gogurt line – without artificial colors or sweeteners!)

She doesn’t pick Gogurt every night. She chooses all of the items on the list regularly.

Yoplait’s Gogurt Cool in School Giveaway

Yoplait is giving away a Cool in School gift pack to one lucky Feels Like Home reader. (US residents only, must be 18 or older to enter)Gogurt Prize Pack

The goal of the Cool in School program is to highlight the benefits of Gogurt in school lunches. Because they start out frozen and thaw slowly, they are still cold at lunch time.

To enter: Leave a comment telling your kids (or your) favorite flavor of Gogurt. If you’ve never tried them, what flavor would you like to try?

Good luck! I’ll use Random.org to choose a winner sometime after 11:59 pm on October 28. The winner was Lauren. Congratulations!

Yoplait via My Blog Spark provided me with a gift pack in order to complete this review. They are also providing the gift pack for the giveaway.

My kids love anything pink. My favorite is the blue cotton candy. :P

We like all the flavors, but the watermelon one is the best.

My 7 year old grandson, Hayden, likes Gogurts in his lunch because we freeze them and they’re perfect by lunchtime. And then he wants another for his afternoon snack. Any flavor-Any time!

Strawberry Splash – Blueberry Blast is our favorite. And we freeze it too! He LOVES “ice cream”

I know we’ve tried the Simply Gogurt–either a strawberry or some kind of pink berry flavor. Libbie LOVES yogurt, but she hasn’t quite figured out how to suck down a Gogurt yet. I just snip the end and put it in a bowl for now. :)

I don’t remember how old Grace was when she figured it out. Though, I’m STILL pushing it up for her. :)

My kid loves the one with Spongebob on it. Doesn’t matter the flavor as long as it is Spongebob flavored ;)
