I don’t know the details, but it’s dangerous for an in-ground pool to have too much water in it. It has something to do with the liner collapsing. Or something.
At any rate, last Thursday, we had several inches of rain in an afternoon. And then it rained on Friday.
Water had to come out.
I’m sure there’s some other way to remove the water, but the boys like to remove it by jumping and splashing.
Big boys and little boys do cannon ball jumps over and over and over. It splashes out more water than you’d imagine.
I’ve been known to join in the jumping, for the record, but not when I’m gestating.

I was really happy with how the pictures came out. I have a great little Olympus point-and-shoot with a high speed shutter option.

Tell Joe I really is form. I give him a 9.5. You did a great job on the pictures. I agree, that is a great little camera you have there. Have a wonderful weekend.
Wow! What an awesome camera. I couldn’t have even taken one single shot with the clarity when someone was moving. I was just swinging by to invite you to our Spotlight Saturday Blog Hop tomorrow and to let you know about a free blog makeover from Wacky Jacqui’s Designs. Hope to see you on Between the Lines.

Was that multiple shots? Or did the camera fire multiple times after you pushed the button? Great pics.
great sequence! great way to cool off and get that extra water out!
Both. It was actually two different jumps; the camera took four pictures each time I pushed the button.
Ah, the pool! Ours is open for the next two weekends only. My baby belly (and my achy hips) is going to enjoy every minute!
That way is a lot more fun than having to do the whole backwash thing.
Great shots!
Oh, how well I know! Except our friend’s pool has a heater, and she says we’re going to be swimming long into September and maybe October. I’m not sure I’m that brave, but we’ll see.
