How do you organize your recipes?

I need a better system.

We will eat a recipe every week for months, and then one of us gets sick of it. It just tucked into a cookbook or onto a shelf, and we don’t eat it again for a year. If we’re lucky, one of us finds it when looking for something, and the process starts all over.

This recipe is one of those.

We used to keep the supplies on hand all the time; we ate them at least twice a week. We may start eating them often again.

warm turkey bacon wrap

Warm Turkey Bacon Wrap
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 soft-taco size flour tortillas
  • Miracle Whip Light
  • Horseradish mustard
  • 6-12 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pound deli turkey
  • 12 slices precooked bacon
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
  • leafy lettuce, baby spinach, or spring mix
  • sprouts
  • other sandwich toppings as desired – diced tomato, diced onion, sun-dried tomato, or even diced avocado would be delicious
Instructions
  1. Melt 1/2 tablespoon butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread Miracle Whip and mustard on the tortilla.
  3. Place tortilla in the skillet and top with 2 slices of cheese, precooked bacon, and turkey. Cook 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  4. Slide tortilla out of the skillet and onto a plate.
  5. Add thinly sliced cucumber, lettuce, sprouts, and any other toppings you like.
  6. Roll up and eat.

I think this would be great with any filling. We’ve used deli ham, shredded chicken, and scrambled eggs instead of turkey. They’re all delicious.
