You all have been leaving loads and loads of wonderful comments lately, so I thought I’d throw in something to bring myself back to reality.
Ten days ago, a major snowstorm brought us two feet of snow. By the time morning came, there was too much snow for Grace to play outside.
Being the geek that I am, I commenced to find some projects we could do with the snow.
I found a few projects – snow candy, snow ice cream, and homemade snow cones.
After the success of the snow candy, I felt confident that the snow cones would be amazing.
They weren’t.
They were an abject failure.
Stop by tomorrow for the miserable details.

Ha! I can't think of anything but that scene in Monsters Inc. when I think of real snow snow cones. You know the one?
Snow cones would've been a great idea. Rob did use some of the snow to keep food cold in a cooler the other day LOL
happy WW
Oh no I hate when that happens, just wish we had some snow to try it out on.
Ha ha! I live in NC and we've had more snow this winter than anyone can remember… but I'm sure glad we didn't get 2 feet of it! The kids would be making up snow days until the first day of next year! Wishing you lots of sunshine and better luck with your next project….
Ha, ha, ha, that would totally happen to me. At least you tried!
If there was some way I could send you some, I would do it!
Oh my gosh, that's funny. I still can't believe how much snow some folks have gotten this winter.
I would still totally eat that!!
It's probably better that way.
I have never actually seen Monsters, Inc. It came along a few years after I was over the animated movie, and G hasn't really gotten to that point yet.
I wouldn't say that they were a great idea.
Quite the opposite, actually.
Sometimes, it's the experience, not the product. Or that's what I tell myself.
Thanks! It was 2 feet of snow in ONE DAY. And then we had 2 feet of snow again four days later!
I'm sure there's somewhere that's gotten more snow than we have. Alaska, maybe.
Oh, no, you wouldn't have. It tasted terrible. I didn't care that it was yellow snow (though it does look funny in the pictures). The finished snow cones were hideous-tasting.
Ooooh no!! LOL We used to do snow ice cream when I was a kid!! I totally forgot about that!! I think we are due for some snow this week again… hmmmm
Happy WW!
It sounds like you liked it? After this debacle, I was afraid to try ice cream.
My girls love snow cream. When we visit NC in the winter, it's top on our To Do list. Sorry your homemade snow cone didn't turn out so great. Oh well.
Sorry, I missed your post on WW. Thanks so much for the WW link-up. You melt my heart.
How sweet are you?
Thanks for stopping by!
Wow, we used to do that when I was a kid, but I wouldn't dream of doing it now, even with all the snow in New England! What's in the atmosphere & all! But it looks like you had fun trying! I'll stick with the snow cones from the roadside stands in the summer!
