Sitting and Spinning

Gracie found her Musical Sit ‘N Spin in her toy box this week.

She’d didn’t remember it, so it was a brand new toy for her.

She spun until I thought she should be dizzy.

When she was done spinning, she beat it like a bongo drum.

And then, she tried spinning atop the handle. That didn’t work very well.

Out of the blue, Grace decided that Nemo wanted to Sit ‘N Spin. He couldn’t be left out of the fun.

Nemo wasn’t very good at holding on, though, so he got the boot.

Next, Nina and Emma rode the Sit ‘N Spin.

They weren’t good at holding on, either, so Grace hugged them.

When the babies had had enough, they took a little nap. Grace covered them with pot holders little blankets so they would stay warm.

She didn’t say so, but I’m pretty sure that this could be subtitled, No More Pictures, Mama.

I’m submitting this to Works for Me Wednesday because hiding toys in the toy box works for me.

No, really. If you hide some of the toys in the toy box long enough, the kids will think they’re brand new when you pull them back out. It works like a charm, every time.

This is adorable! I agree about the toys hidden in the toy box trick. “Brand new” toys are great!! The dollies sleeping with their “blankies” is sooo cute. Did she name her babies on her own? Those are very good names!

I love this series of photos and you little story of her sti-n-spin adventure. Isn't great when kids rediscover a favorite toy?

Thanks for the WW shout out! You are a star! :-)

I like that she gave the dolls a ride too.

Oh, that's so cute! I love it when the kids find toys they forgot about. It can keep them busy for so long!

Sit 'n spin was one of my all-time favorite toys when I was little!

How cute!! Love the pictures, especially the pot holder/ blankets on the dolls. Looks like something my Grace would do.

My girls love their Sit 'n Spin! It's one of those classic toys that all kids have fun with.

Such a good idea if you have an abundance of toys (we certainly do)!

It was so cute. She wanted to give the dolls a ride in the worst way, but she couldn't figure out how to keep them on. They kept flying off. I love to watch them problem solve like that.

Really? I don't think I had one, but I may have been too big for it. I was always a chubby kid.

She surely looks like she is having fun. I have to get one of those for Brittany. My boys loved that thing.

She keeps herself pretty busy with one toy, that's a great thing.

So cute. I've tried hiding toys, but my daughter will immediately notice if something is missing. It's like she has an inventory system or something! LOL!

Isn't that funny? We leave out the favorite toys no matter what. Those are the ones she'd notice. She has so much that she eventually loses track of some things.

This is SOOO true! It works every time. Bottom of the toy box, top of the closet, whatever. Gives the kids a little treat later on. It pays to be one step ahead of 'em!

Now I feel totally guilty. I usually hide my kids toys so that I can get rid of them later without them noticing.
