Thomas the Train sets

As I mentioned a time or six before, Grace got a bunch of Thomas the Train stuff for Christmas. Most of it came from Santa and Mrs. Claus, but a few pieces came from my mom and sister.

And Joe and I couldn’t resist ourselves and took Gracie shopping at a buy one , get one free sale on the day after Christmas.

Because, you know, the two track sets and five train sets Grace had already gotten weren’t enough.

Grace used them as hurdles.

I used them as photography props.

Joe loves setting up, playing with, and tearing down the trains.

Grace loves playing with her Daddy.

I love taking pictures.

We’re all happy.

I’ll tell you about the last two pictures tomorrow. There’s a great story and a silly social commentary in them.

Nate LOVES Thomas. His big present this year was the Roundhouse, or as he calls it, Tidmouth Sheds. I also like building and rearranging the tracks!

Train sets are GREAT gifts/toys! I have enjoyed getting the solid wood ones that all interlock:) My kids have loved the track for years now and whenever someone needs a gift idea…adding to the track is a great idea:)

Loved the pics of the trains, Momma:)

Great post, Tara! Awesome pics! Ryder got a Thomas the train track for Christmas, too. He looooves Thomas, but won't keep the track together for anything! He crashes all the trains into the rails and destroys them. Is that just a boy thing?? He also got the F.P. GeoTrax railroad from my parents and he keeps that one together much better.

Yes! That's what these are. We've gotten a bunch of new sets, and Joe puts them all together every night.

LOL. We put them away each night so that hasn't been an issue.

Really? Grace crashed her trains a few times, but I told her I'd take them away if she broke them. Is that bad? I want her to take care of her things instead of trashing them (like her dad did as a kid).

Taylor LOVED his Brio trains when he was younger. Your pictures reminded me of this one of him with one of his track creations http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t342/robynwi…

Oh my gosh, Robyn! What a doll baby! :) I bet you have that photo on the wall somewhere. It does look a lot like Joe's track creation, doesn't it?

It is in the digital photo frame on the wall. It seems like ages ago that he was that little.

I bet! How old was he in the picture?

Hmmm – must have been about 7 or so I think. He played with that Brio train for many, many years I know.
