Joe came home recently with 25 pounds of pork chops. When I questioned his purchase, he said, “I got a good deal.”
A good deal. It’s only a good deal if we’ll use it.
Since Joe does a lot of the day to day cooking, and Joe likes pork chops, we’ve been eating them pretty often. Knowing that I don’t care much for them, he’s been experimenting to find a recipe that works for both of us. This one definitely passes my test, leaving the pork chops moist, juicy, tender, and delicious.
| Honey Maple Glazed Pork Chops |
- 2-4 thickly cut pork chops
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- Mix honey, maple syrup, and ground ginger.
- Place pork chops on the grate of a pre-heated gas grill.
- Paint the top side of the pork chops with sauce.
- After several minutes, flip the pork chops and paint the top with sauce.
- Continue cooking, flipping and painting the top side every couple of minutes, until all sauce is used up and pork chops are done.
Tonight, we ate these pork chops with smoky mac and cheese and steamed broccoli. It was an amazing dinner. So, so good.
Don’t forget to stop back on Thursday for Grace’s Kitchen!

Believe it or not, I just got some pork chops out of the freezer. Thanks for inspiring me with this recipe! We don’t have maple syrup in the Netherlands, but I’m sure I can find online how to substitute it..

I’ve had some pork chops in the freezer for a while now, and I’ve been wondering what to do with them. I’ll have to try this – sounds easy and tasty! Thanks!

Ooh we have boneless pork chops for tomorrow and I hadn’t decided yet what to do with them.
I have all those ingredients in the house, I might try this.

Those sound yummy.
The trick with pork chops is to know that they cook quick and you NEVER want to over cook them.

Southern Fried Mama is right. Pork is delicious as long as you don’t overcook it. If you marinate it, it will be easier to keep moist too and mustard is another nice tenderizer.
My first Tasty Tuesday is up too.
