You are in luck! You have stopped by during The Ultimate Blog Party 2009, so please join in the festivities!

Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Tara, the owner of Feels like Home. You can read 101 random things that my friends might not even know about me here.

Your home is more than just a place to live. It’s the place where you’re comfortable, where you raise your children, laugh, cry, welcome your friends, play games, celebrate birthdays, triumph, heal, experiment, and relax. Feels like Home helps you to make your home all that and more.

Feels like Home is divided into 7 sections:

Homefolk

This section includes stories and pictures of my family, including my husband, Joe, and our 21-month-old daughter, Gracie. A recent post included a picture of our bathtub, where my Joe had drawn portraits of various family members. I share stories about my own family because this is where my blog started. My family is what feels like home to me.
Home Cooking

This section includes my favorite recipes and kitchen tips. I love to cook, so there are always lots of goodies here. Maybe you’d like to have a corn mini pie or a falafel or a slice of banana cream pie or chocolate valentino cake with homemade ice cream while you’re visiting the party. Dig in. There’s plenty to go around; I always cook too much!
Grace’s Kitchen Friends

I think it’s important to raise children who have a healthy relationship with food. This section contains tips and discussion on raising kids who like to cook and eat a wide variety of foods.

It’s also the center of a weekly meme called Grace’s Kitchen Friends. I hope you’ll consider joining in. All you have to do is write a post on your own blog that is about kids and food. I’ll leave the specific topic up to you. It can be about feeding kids or about pretend food or using food to create art, anything that involves kids and food. Somewhere, include a link back to Grace’s Kitchen (http://www.feelslikehomeblog.com/category/graces-kitchen/), and then stop by on Thursday to leave your link in the Mr. Linky.
Homegrown

I am not a parenting expert. I have one child, and I’m trying really hard not to mess her up too badly. This section contains nuggets of parenting and family advice (sometimes in the shape of my foibles) that I’ve gleaned from life over the years. Recently, I’ve talked about rocking a toddler to sleep, being married, and treating croup.
Homemaking

I am not a perfect housekeeper. I shamefully admitted it publicly not too long ago, on this very blog. Nonetheless, I am full of sage advice for keeping your home running smoothly (usually in environmentally-friendly ways), and I post them in this section.
Homespun

This section includes a plethora of the craft projects I attempt. In the recent past, I created a tutorial for making a toddler pillow, showed readers my version of Olivia Octopus, posted a tutorial for a crayon roll, and shared a photo of my daughter’s homemade Halloween costume.
Things to Write Home About

Every Sunday, I post a list of great articles that pertain to the above topics. Here’s the most recent post and the one before that.

In addition to the above articles that I write, I also do product reviews and giveaways like the Lil Rinser, pearls from Pearl Paradise, and Sara Lee sweet goods products.
