Brighten your home with flowers – Flora 2000 giveaway

January 27, 2009

Nothing brightens a room like an arrangement of beautiful blossoms.

I happen to think that the blossoms to the left would brighten my living room nicely. I’m just saying.

It doesn’t matter whether the flowers came from your sweetheart, your child, or your own wallet, they make you feel good, and they make even the bleakest room look a little cheerier.

My Grandma has been snowed in for weeks, and I thought she could use a bit of cheer on a winter day. Her birthday is coming up, too, and she will probably have three or four bouquets of flowers arrive that day.

I sent my Happy Birthday bouquet so that it would arrive this week, a little early, to spread out the beauty in her home a little longer.

Because I live hundreds of miles away from my Grandma, I sent my flowers using a web-based florist. There are a lot of options out there, and I chose Flora 2000.

Grandma’s thoughts on the final product? “Oh, they’re just gorgeous. I wish I could think of a better word to describe them, because they’re just gorgeous.”

Whether you want to send flowers to another state or another country, Flora 2000 finds a local florist who will design and deliver the flowers.

I like the local connection. I like that my order supported the a small business in Grandma’s town. Though the flowers my Grandma received bore little resemblance to the flowers I saw pictured, I had no particular requirements or preference. As Grandma described the colors and varieties of each flower, I knew that her bouquet was even nicer than what I’d ordered.

Flora 2000 guarantees every arrangement for freshness, beauty, and style and offers 24/7 customer service. Arrangements cost a little more than they would if you found the local florist yourself, but it’s a trade-off for not having to find and contact the florist on your own.

If you’re crunched for time, Flora 2000 can often arrange same day delivery any where in the world.
Guess what, Dear Reader! Flora 2000 is giving away a $50 credit to each of 2 Feels like Home readers!

To enter: Visit Flora 2000′s website and chose your favorite arrangement. Come back here and tell us the one you chose. Be sure to leave a way for me to contact you.

For extra entries: You can earn one extra entry for each of the following:

  1. Flora 2000 has a great blog, written by Leanne Kesler, a talented florist at the Floral Design Institute. You can earn one entry here for each post you comment on there. Please leave the permalink to the post in your entry below.
  2. Tweet about this giveaway and leave the URL for the Tweet in the comments.
  3. Write about this giveaway on your blog, including Feels like Home and Flora 2000. Leave the URL in a comment.
  4. Post my button on your sidebar. Report the URL for your site in a comment.
  5. Subscribe to my feed and report it in the comments.

Good luck! I’ll use Random.org to choose a winner some time after 9 pm on February 4 , 2009, in time for the winners to order flowers for Valentine’s Day (if they so chose).
