Do you like to have music playing in your home? I do sometimes; the right music creates a peaceful and serene background for whatever I’m doing
online around the house. Especially now, during the Christmas season, I love to play music whenever I’m home.
One of my favorite CDs this winter has been Il Divo’s The Christmas Collection. I really like The Christmas Collection because it’s a mix of very traditional Christmas music like O Come All Ye Faithful and less traditional but similarly sounding songs like Over the Rainbow. The whole CD really is beautiful.
Incidentally, Joe and Grace are dancing around the living room right now to The Christmas Collection. I’m not ballroom expert (and neither is Joe), but they’re clearly having a grand old time.
I was unfamiliar with Il Divo before I received these CDs, and I have been pleasantly surprised. I mean, they’re no Elmo and Patsy, Dear Reader, so you probably won’t be singing along. Especially with the parts that aren’t in English. Nonetheless, the music is glorious, and the CDs are lovely to listen to.
Both The Christmas Collection and The Promise (Il Divo‘s brand new CD released in November) are magnificent. Backed by rich orchestra music, the four men of Il Divo have rich and powerful voices that are a pleasant treat, especially after listening to wining teenagers all day.
