Happy Halloween, Dear Readers!

After this display of Halloween cuteness, you probably have high hopes for the big reveal of Gracie’s Halloween costume.

I had high hopes, too, but that was before Gracie Anna came down with my virus and missed Halloween. I mean, she missed it all together. She missed her school’s Halloween parade, and she missed Trick or Treating. The fun I was anticipating? Nada.

Fortunately, Grace didn’t know any of that fun was coming, so she doesn’t know that she missed out. I know, though, and I’m more than a little bummed. Even more fortunately, her costume came out a little bigger than I expected, so there’s a chance that it will still fit next year. I can hope.

At any rate, I did make her a very cute puppy dog costume, and she did put it on one evening this week for a trial run. I promised you a peek, and here it is.

The face in the last photo? She was barking, Dear Reader. That’s what dogs do. woof, woof!

That costume is just the cutest! You’ve definitely inspired me to try making something myself next year! It does look a little big, and since Grace won’t grow quite at the same rate at this point, you’re probably right about it fitting her next Halloween. I hope it does!

Oh, and what does the tail look like? I love little tails on babies. Haha!

Awesome work! What a sweetie she is. I’m so sorry she missed everything, but at least she’ll have this picture to look at when she’s older.
