The good news – The A/C repairman came today. Our A/C is now working, fortunately, and it is blissfully cool in our home.
The bad news – We have to replace our entire heat pump unit as the repairman assured us that it won’t continue working for another season.
The worse news – Our house appears to have been built around the existing heat pump unit. In other words, to replace the bugger, we’re going to have to knock down a wall. Egads.
Did you know that we took out a $9,000 loan three weeks ago in order to build a beautiful new deck on the back of our house? And we spent the last of said loan this past Monday, to pay the fellow who cut down the dying tree in our front yard? We definitely didn’t waste the money, as we needed a new deck and we needed the tree cut down, but now we’re looking at another $10,000. Double egads.

Just checking to see if you had gotten your purse, and what you thought.
We just replaced our AC unit in January…not fun, but we did a financing plan that is 12 months same as cash.

The exact same thing happened to us last year (minus the house being built around the heat pump part) the day we received an inheritence. The very day we got the money we handed it directly to the maintence guy!
